Demetria Devonne Lovato

Demetria Devonne Lovato also known as Demi Lovato would be my hero. She has gone through so much and has stayed strong no matter what. This is why i look up to her. Many people judge her but they shouldn't because everyone has their flaws including the most famous and successful people. Demi grew up in a world of fame and popularity. The social media expected too much. They want every artist to be beautiful and skinny. Sometimes they put them in a lot of pressure and they don't know they're hurting them.

Demi was bullied as a child because she was "fat" . This affected her a lot, she developed an eating disorder called bulimia. She used to throw up after she ate because she felt fat, it got to the point that she wouldn't throw up food, she would throw up blood. She would also cut herself. The social media didn't help at all. They lowered her self esteem by showing how other girls are skinny and pretty. Nobody knew about this until she had a nervous breakdown in one of her concerts. A lot of people left her and that's how she realized who her true friends were. She decided to forget what other people thought and focus on her health before her career, so she went into rehab. After rehab she came back stronger and successful. Her album "unbroken" was touching. She sang with such a passion because she could relate to her songs. Her album became one of the ones everyone was listening to. Later that year she participated in a campaign against bullying.

I think Demi would be my hero. No, i haven't had any eating disorder or i haven't harmed myself but she has taught me that we shouldn't let social media or other people tell us we aren't good enough the way we are. We're all beautiful in different ways. She has also taught me that life will knock you down but if you don't give up you will rise like a skyscraper.. She has gone through a lot and she's still standing strong. Something that i admire from her is that now she's herself and she ignores all the negative comments and keeps moving forward. This is why i consider her my hero.
