Douglas Mcgee

by Kyle from Pickerington

A hero is someone in your life that you look up to, is always there for you, and helps you and has mental/physical strength.

I think it is important to have a hero because heroes help you grow and move forward in life. Also, heroes motivate you to do better than your best, kinda like a role model in your life.

33245Douglas McgeeMy GrandfatherI picked a man who served in the Marines and has impacted my whole life who is my Grandpa Douglas Mcgee. There are a couple of reasons he is my hero. One is he is always there for me no matter what I did wrong or what happened. Two is has taught me almost all the sports I know at least the main ones, like swimming, basketball, and football. Third is he has made me more mentally and physically tough over the years. He is really strong and confident in himself which he has always taught me. Also, my grandpa was in the Marines for four years serving this nation.

There are five reasons I think my grandpa should be in the hero hall of fame. One is he is always there for me and all of his grandkids and children. Two is he protects you at all cost if he has to. Three is he is brave, stands up for himself, and was in the U.S. Marine Corps. Four is he is physically strong, mentally strong, and doesn't use his physical strength in the wrong way. Last, my grandpa is an all around good guy that is always there to talk to or be a friend to you. That is why my grandpa should be in the Hero Hall of Fame.
