• Desa Muck was born on 29th August in Ljubljana. In her family they have an artistic streak. Her grandpa wrote stories, her father plays the piano and her brother writes verse. She is a niece of actor, poet and professor Kristjan Muck and a cousin of illustrator Lucija Stupica. In her early life she lived with her family in a small flat without a bathroom. She lied to her classmate, because of her poor family. She wrote a book Lazniva Suzi (Lying Suzi), which is her autobiography. She didn't finish general high school, because she had absence without permission. She hates school and on this theme she is written a book Blazno resno o Å¡oli (Insanely serious about school).

She is Slovenian actress, a TV presenter, publicist and youth author. She is played in 15 films, series, TV break and performed on stage. But this is not all, about her occupation. She was an assistant of teacher, the nurse of mentally disabled children and technical drawer in a construction company.

Now she is a writer and she writes for children and adults. Desa Muck got award večernica in year 1998. This is an award for the best young people's novel. In year 2005 she got Levstikova nagrada (Levstik's award) for young people's novel. Her autobiography Lazniva Suzi (Lying Suzi) got an award for "my best book". In year 2006 Desa Muck got an international award IBBY.

I like her, because she is a funny and sympathetic person. She understands us - young people and she writes really funny and good stories. I chose her, because a few people really know her.
