My hero is Dahvie Vanity for many reasons. He saves lives, wants to stop bullying and spreads love. I will explain in further detail below.
To start off he was born September 5th, 1984. He has a sister named Sasha, and was born on a military base in New Jersey. He is from Puerto Rico, his family lives there. He is in a band called Blood on the Dance Floor. The band started September 5th, 2007. First it was Dahvie, Christopher Mongillo, and Rebecca Fugate. They left the band, and Garrett Ecstasy joined. He took Dahvie's tour bus and wrecked it, bought a tattoo with BOTDF's merch money, and was a total druggie. Dahvie did what's right and kicked him out of the band. Dahvie found his best friend, Jayy Von Monroe and he joined the band in early '09. They are still together as a band and going on strong. Him and Jayy were bullied their whole life. Jayy had to be home schooled, and when he went to public school he was escorted everywhere he went, had a whole classroom to himself, and had to leave 20 minutes early so the kids wouldn't see him.
Dahvie is a true hero to me. He saves lives every day. Teens who want to commit suicide turn around and face the world with a smile because of him. He tells them to stay strong, and to never give up. To never let people bring you down and what matters is what you think of yourself, not what others think. He is a big inspiration to me. Him and Jayy are doing a tour in April 2012 and donating 10% of the profits to a charity to stop bullying. Bullying is the main cause of suicide. I look up to him because he is kind, sweet, and saves lives every day.
He has impacted my life SO much. He is a real hero. His music has great meaning to it, and has the message of love in about every song. His motto is "United we stand, divided we fall." My mom got in a car accident four years ago, and it was such a coincidence for me to discover them, because they got me through it all and today I'm smiling and I'm happy! They changed my life so much, and I am forever grateful for all that they've done for me.
In conclusion, Dahvie Vanity is my hero for many reasons because of his positivity and gratitude.
