My hero has many traits that I think make him a hero. David Beckham uses great skill while playing soccer. He never gives up, which I think is one of the greatest traits he can have other than he tries his hardest every time he gets out on the field. He is very dedicated to his career and his lifetime hobby. He has a lot of dedication to his team and never fails them. His heart goes into his career every game he plays. David Beckham always focuses on the game and brings out his feelings to beat the other team, he doesn’t think about his personal life while playing. He goes out there with a focused mind and perseveres.
In the words of David Beckham, my hero, “it could be a good thing… we’re together as a team and you bond when you’re away together for so long.” David Robert Joseph Beckham is one of my greatest heroes. He has a couple of different nicknames like Dave, Becks and DB7. David was born in Leytonstone, East London on May 2nd, 1975. His parents' names were Ted Beckham and Sandra West. Ted worked as a kitchen fitter and Sandra worked as a hair dresser. On July 4th, 1999, Beckham married the love of his life, Victoria. He then had his first son the same year. To this day he’s had three kids so far.

David’s parents were supporters of Manchester United; David went to watch some of the matches and soon joined soccer for a youth team, the Ridgeway Rovers. His father and another man coached this team. In 1991, he played for Manchester United Youth Facilities. He won the FA youth cup when he was on the team. The start of his career he played on Manchester’s first squad. David Beckham joined the national team in 1998, the World Cup. The national team’s coach pointed out his talent for soccer with no struggles which got him to the World Cup. By the end of David’s career he had a contract worth $250 million over five years playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
David Beckham is my hero because he does so well in soccer and I’ve always wanted to be a professional soccer player. I started when I was young as did he. My goal is to try and shoot for the stars, do my best, and get a scholarship for college. David Beckham shows me if you try as hard as you can and don’t give up you can do anything you put your mind to. Even if it has nothing to do with sports it still applies. Dedication is key, persevere at what you love and never stop trying for what you want.
David Beckham will always be my hero until I reach my goal of becoming just like him. He’s taught me so much from cool soccer moves to "just play your heart out" and that’s what I always do. This is why David Beckham is my hero.
