I became aware of my personal career hero last year when I was watching Dwight Howard win the dunk contest. I like Dwight Howard’s career because he is playing the game he loves as a profession and he does it with class.

Dwight Howard was always noticed as a strong force on the street courts that he played on. For how big Dwight was he was quick on his feet. He was big, strong, and fast. He had a decent shot and was comfortable handling the ball just as a point guard would be. Dwight attended Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy during high school. He had a dream in 7th grade to lead his high school team to the state championship and then go to the NBA. That was exactly what he did. He was drafted in the first round in the 04-05 Season.

Dwight Howard is a part of NBA Cares where he helps his community to become more civil. He also helps less fortunate kids learn how to play basketball.

In high school Dwight made a goal to lead his high school team to a state championship. Dwight Howard wants to focus on power and strength in the NBA. He wants to make that all-star team every year. He wants to lead the Orlando Magic to an NBA Championship and get MVP.
