Born October 4, 1988, Derrick Martell Rose is my hero. Derrick Rose never let his fan down. Every game he has he makes us proud. Growing up on the south side of Chicago, Derrick maintained good grades and stayed away from gangs. Derrick is the youngest out of 4 boys. His brother, Reggie , coached Derrick as a young boy during AAU basketball. During high school Derrick couldn’t play varsity due to coach's standards, but that didn’t bother Derrick. He still led the JV to the national championship.

Derrick Rose inspires me very much. Not only does he help me out on the court, he helps out with charities also. That's why Derrick Martell Rose is my hero.
