Derrick rose is my hero because he expresses great values and leadership on and off the court. Even though he grew up deep in the heart of Chicago he and his brothers have all stayed away from gang violence and kept good grades. When I think of Derrick Rose I think of a player who is going to go extremely far both in the NBA and with helping in his old neighborhood. To know who Derrick is you can look to his brothers who at a young age saw talent in him and protected it, gave advice, and moral support so that he could go as far as possible.
My hero Derrick Rose is a basketball player one of the most amazing ones that I have seen in my life there is a certain flare that he plays with that looks great. When someone this young is so phenomenal right away, some are skeptical but even though he is only 20 I believe that he will continue to amaze me and others for a long time.
The main reason that he will help in his neighborhood is the he respects his past and talks about it. I think that he might even go further than that helping people in Africa. Derrick is not much of a hero right now but he shows amazing potential and he has tremendous skills.
Derrick has inspired me personally because he shows that with just a little help you can do great things. Also, he is even more inspiring through his play. This and last year last year he lead his college team the Memphis Tigers all the way to the Championship as a freshman and this year he is averaging over 20 points a game and the Bulls' record has gone from 2-8 at this time last year to 5-5 this year, which is an outstanding turnaround.
So to sum this up, I respect Derrick Rose for his abilities in basketball and his potential to succeed in the future. He is a phenomenal human being and has outrageous Hops (ability to jump) which is something I desperately want. In conclusion, Derrick is a great ball player, outstanding person and overall My Hero.
