Everyone in one way or another has a hero, no matter if it's a parent or a famous person. This does not only pertain to a younger individuals, even some older people like grandparents look up to their grandchildren. My hero is my dad because of many reasons but what I like most is that he overcame hardships as a kid, his kind heart, and the way he tries to live life to the best of his ability.

My dad wasn't one of those kids who had everything handed down to him. His childhood wasn't exactly ideal. He overcame pretty much everything from being abused by his mom, to him to being arrested for fighting. My dad tried being one of those kids that would be good and if they did something wrong they would always be hit for it. He eventually became one of kids that got in fights constantly because he tried to protect others that could not do anything themselves only seeing what he went through being abused by his mom. Doing this he has been arrested many times due to protecting others and some say he was helping but most would say he just hit them for no reason. So as he got older he protected everyone he could so from these events happening his heart got bigger.

So as he aged he helped everyone he could but the difference is some people give help and take help. My dad gave help but tried to do a lot himself. For example if he saw someone having car troubles he would try to tell them what's wrong or if he could fix it. Since then my dad has always helped people without question and doesn't expect anything back in return. If it's time you need and even if he doesn't have it he will try to help.

There's something people always said and that's live life to the fullest. He tries to live like he is going to die tomorrow. He lives like that because of twenty-nine years of smoking cigarettes so there may be the day where he may leave and never come back. Him knowing this lets him try to live his live to the fullest and teach me what his father didn't. He changed his life after I was born, he changed his and protected me. I was always the first priority. Now as I get older he's trying to live like he could die at any moment and spends every minute with me if he can. It doesn't mean he will spend a lot of money to do something with me even if it's just going fishing or just going for a car ride.

So everyone in one way or another has a hero, no matter if it's a parent or a famous person. This does not only pertain to  younger individuals even some older like grandparents look up to their grandchildren for their youth. My hero is my dad because of many reasons but what I like most is that he overcame hardships as a kid, his kind heart, and the way he tries to live life to the best of his ability. I love my dad for all he's done and he will always be my hero and no one can take his place.
