Dean Moodie

My hero is my older brother Dean. Dean is twenty-two-years-old. My brother is engaged to a wonderful girl named Amanda, they are to be married next August. Dean is the most amazing person I've ever met in my entire life. He takes care of my whole family and has a heart of gold. I will share with you many of the wonderful aspects that make him my hero.

Dean is very intelligent. He already owns his own jewelry business and works full-time for a diamond distributor in Minneapolis. He also plans to open another business, for dock removal and installation. My brother works extremely hard, and he does it to take care of my mother, his fiance and myself. Dean never complains about working so hard to support the three of us, he just does it. He is truly amazing. Not only is Dean intelligent and kind, he is also hilarious.

My brother will make you smile no matter how unhappy you are. He is so funny, and has the ability to make any unpleasant situation seem much brighter. He has always had many friends and is easy to get along with. Everyone that meets him takes a liking to him. Most girls are disappointed to learn he is engaged, considering they all think he looks like a model. Amanda is very lucky to have him.

Dean is my half-brother. We share the same mother, but have different fathers. Dean's father passed away when he was sixteen. It was a terrible time for him, but I believe that horrible event made him an even stronger person. As I said before, Dean has a heart of gold. He would give you the shirt off his back. He is always there for me when I need him, and for the rest of my family. He helps me whenever I need it. Whether it's a guy problem or a math problem, I can count on my big brother to help me through it. He has always been like a father to me, since mine was never around. I am the person that I am because of him.

My brother is my hero for so many reasons. Anyone that knows him is blessed to be in his life. Dean inspires me to be a better person. I want to be just like him. He is dependable, responsible, intelligent, humorous, considerate and unbelievably caring. I can't describe just how much he means to me, I don't think it's possible, so I will just end this saying that I love my brother more then anything or anyone in the world.
