In honor of Diana Frances Spencer, Princess of Wales, I did research about this hero in “Biography Today.” I chose Diana because she was the Princess of Wales and she died in a car wreck that she could have survived if she would have been wearing a seat belt. After the research, I was glad I did because I learned so much about her.

Who knew such a normal beginning would give the world such a hero? Born on July 1, 1961 in Norfolk, England, Diana lived with her parents, Edward John and Frances Burke (Roche) Spencer. Her parents then divorced when she was only six; it shattered her world. As she grew older, she met Prince Charles. They soon got married and had two sons, William Arthur Philip Louis and Henry Charles Albert David. When she married Charles, she then was called Diana, Princess of Wales.

The foundation of heroism is education. She attended many schools, including Silfield, Riddlesworth Hall Preparatory, West Health, and Institute Alpine Videmanette. While she was at these schools, she enjoyed many activities such as swimming, horseback riding, ballet, skiing, netball, diving, tap dancing, and many other sports.

Hard work contributes to heroism. As a princess, she always was doing charity work. Her favorite type of charity work was visiting the elderly and the mentally handicapped. She also gave a lot of speeches.

Diana, Princess of Wales is important to mankind and changed the world. She was the people’s princess, she always gave speeches, and she helped the poor. Diana didn’t act snobby; instead she was kind to her people and she was someone for everyone to look up to, to admire. Diana died in a car crash on August 31, 1997. The driver was too drunk and going too fast. If Diana would have been wearing her seatbelt then she may have lived.
