Eddie Aikau

My hero is Eddie Aikau. Eddie has saved a lot of lives in his career of being a lifeguard. He worked and lived in Waimea Bay, HI, which has some of the biggest waves in the world. So, you can see how much he sacrificed himself for other people.

Eddie was a lifeguard before he suddenly disappeared. He was stranded on a boat with his friends. Eddie then paddled on a surfboard for help and disappeared.

No one knew what happened to him, and nobody ever saw him again.

The reason why I chose Eddie Aikau is because he is a big wave surfer and he risked his life for others, and that's why I think he is a big hearted man. It is really sad that someone so courageous loses their life for someone else, and this is why to me he is a hero.
