Most people don't know about Evan Louie but those who do know that he is the proud owner of Kona Ice in Las Vegas. Although you may think that he is just another person trying to make money selling ice cream, you are wrong. He has contributed to helping other people for a long time although it was hard for him at first. Evan Louie is truly an example for everyone around him.

Evan Louie is around 39 years old and has a 8 year old daughter. Before, Evan Louie used to live in San Fransisco with his wife. His wife was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2007 and died of it in 2008. She died when their daughter was only 1 year old. After her death, Evan Louie decided to move to Las Vegas and start his Kona Ice business. His purpose when he started his business was to help make a difference in his community.

How did he help, you may wonder? Well, Evan Louie started by trying to find a cure for brain cancer. He donated time and money to help. Today, he also gives 25% of his earnings to the Discovery Children's Museum. Not only that, he also gives money to groups and organizations. He has donated so much to so many people, it's hard to keep count! We can't say how many people or groups he has donated to, but we can say the amount of money he has donated. Evan Louie has donated over $11 million dollars to all kinds of groups and organizations.

What heroic character traits does Evan Louie have and how does he inspire me? First of all, Evan Louie has many heroic character traits but one of the most empowering is not being selfish. He has given a lot of the money he earns to help other people without thinking about himself. He gives without receiving anything back and I really admire that. He turned the pain from his wife's death to passion for helping people. Evan Louie inspires me to do something in my community, without thinking of myself instead thinking about others. I admire how he did so much for other people.

In conclusion, Evan Louie is a great person and a person to look up to. He has given a lot of what he has to help other people. His goal was to make a difference in others lives and he achieved that goal when he decided to help. Evan Louie helped in many ways, including the ones shown here.
