Imagine a world without people who think of others before themselves. The sadness would cling in the air like a thick, white fog. When suddenly, a man that you recognize steps into the room of your hospital and hands you a handful of balloons and makes your dreams come true, this man, Eli Manning. Elisha Nelson Manning lives a secret life outside of football, he's wholeheartedly devoted to helping others through charity and staying selfless.

Whatever he does truly devoted to what he does, whether that be helping kids in hospitals or simply showing kindness, he shows his devotion through his kids too. Eli Manning has helped raise 2.5 million dollars to create a hospital for kids. In 2016 Eli became a finalist for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. The award given to a player each year, it's for their work and what they do to help others, for example this year Anquan Boldin won the award (a wide receiver for the 49ers.) Eli Manning, he's very charitable by donating and helping raise 2.5 million dollars for kids in need. He helps and works with the Red Cross, The Make a Wish and other foundations that truly leave a mark on this world. Eli has stated that he likes kids whether that's his own kids or the kids he visits in hospitals. He's just overwhelmed when the kids make a bad situation good by staying cheerful. Eli never wants kids to go through what his brother had or anything in general. His bigger brother, Peyton Manning came born with a cleft palate on March 24, 1976. His father Archie, became scared for him because of multiple surgeries only seven days after birth. He's not only charitable and devoted, he's also selfless. Each year he sees 150 kids at hospitals and shelters around the world. He inspires his kids through his actions 24/7, his kids strive to become like him when they grow up because of the kind of household that they live in. His daughters Ava, Lucy, and Caroline all live in the community, while their dad, he's teaching them to not brag about their position in life.Eli Manning stepped up to the plate of helping others while balancing his football lifestyle along with helping others. Even if you can't make as big changes in this world as him, why not try? Eli and others like him change the community by helping in big ways at a small scale, even if that's just putting a smile on someone's face. So, will you be willing to pick up the legacy he started as a player and ended as a true hero?
