These are general facts about Ellen Ochoa! Ellen Ochoa was born on May 10, 1958. Her place of birth was in Los Angeles, California. Her parents' names are Rosanna Ochoa and Joe Ochoa. Ellen Ochoa had three brothers and one sister. Ellen Ochoa hasn't died yet.

     These are cool facts about Ellen Ochoa childhood! Ellen Ochoa grew up in La Mesa, California. Ellen Ochoa's dad left and Ellen Ochoa was raised by her mom. Ellen Ochoa got A's in school and she enjoyed math and science. She took piano when she was eight years old. Ellen Ochoa wanted to be a lawyer or a president. She sang in the choir also. She learned how to play the flute in High school. She became interested in outer space when she was 11, and saw the man land on the moon.

      These are cool facts about Ellen Ochoa's adult life! Ellen Ochoa got married to Coe Furlmer Miles. She became an astronaut in 1990 because she received a master of science degree. She became the first Hispanic female astronaut. She also went to space in April 8, 1993. Her hero and model was Sally Ride, the first American female astronaut.

     Ellen Ochoa was very exciting to learn about. In her adult life becoming the first Hispanic astronaut would amaze me! Hero means when a person who is admired and has courage to do things.  Famous means, when people know you very well. Ellen Ochoa proved women could do anything as long as they try! She got a bachelor of science degree and physics from San Diego. She was famous from being the first Hispanic female astronaut. My opinion about Ellen Ochoa is she is an amazing person! If I ever meet her that would be exciting!! She did a lot of amazing things. She proved that women could do anything as long as they try. That's an amazing speech!!
