Have you ever been on Snapchat? Well, most people in the United States and all over the world have. It is an amazing invention created by a genius named Evan Spiegel. I first became aware of him when I was about 14 years old. I saw this new app on the App Store through Apple and thought it seemed cool. Then my friends became aware of it and started using it. The next thing I know is that everyone at school was using Snapchat. It is now a very popular app that is good for sending pictures to one another. The thing that attracts me to Spiegel is that he used some simple coding to make Snapchat and became very successful. I am a high school student who is researching careers in my College and Career Planning class. I would like to be a computer programmer just like my personal career hero when I grow up.

In the career that Evan Spiegel is in, you either hit or miss. He is a computer programmer who also does some product designs. In order to get really good at this type of work, all you can really do is just practice and practice. Spiegel could have gotten a bachelors degree in computer science, computer programming, and art and design if he really practiced. Some of Spiegel's job related tasks would be to just practice on developing some software. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook website, the salary range in this career is about $77,000 a year. The job outlook since 2014 is at -8% (decline). Evan Spiegel has a very tough job and has to work very hard. One of his most recent and most famous piece of work is Snapchat.

Evan Spiegel was a young boy who grew up in an already wealthy family. His parents' names are Melissa Ann Thomas and John Spiegel. He grew up in Pacific Palisades CA. His family grew up going to an episcopal church called Episcopal Church. His parents paid for him to go to a private school where he was able to learn about computer design. Evan Spiegel was attending Stanford when he realized that he wanted to make something like snap chat and be a computer programmer. He was an non-paid intern at Red bull when he was 18 years old and looking for something good to do. Some traits that he displayed as a child were that he was very smart. I don't think that he was the nicest kid in the world though. He would hang out by himself and go on the computer all of the time and learn about the new things that he could learn. Spiegel was a young guy in College when he first thought of the idea to make even something so small of a product like Snapchat. While he was first in college the professor advised him a small project of product design. During the time while he was making this project, he discovered that he could make Snapchat. It started off as just a little thing called Txtweb which was a just an easy way to communicate online. Some of his famous man dates are when he made the school project in college and named in Snapchat. What he is doing now these days is that he is constantly updating and making his app better. He is dating a super model named Miranda Kerr. These are all of the things that have led to Evan Spiegel's successes. In the article that I found online called "Spiegel Lifestyle", it showed how Evan Spiegel got from when he was a kid to where he is today.

Evan Spiegel helps out the community by creating a way of communicating from one person to another. Spiegel says that he and his company are planning to make better updates for the app. He has taken advantage of his opportunities whenever he can. Although he says, he got very lucky. I think if anything about his personality was missing, he wouldn't be able to have the success he does. In the 2012 year, he dropped out of Stanford to pursue his dream and to go after Snapchat. This was perhaps the most important decision of his life. Spiegel tries to help out the community by giving them a way to communicate. Many people around the world are grateful for everything that Evan Spiegel does for them. Many girls and boys will say "add me on Snapchat, my username is ..." This shows how popular his design is and the difference it makes in the world.

There are many steps that I will take in order to become just like my personal career hero. First off, I will take the required amount of classes and try to take some computer classes. I will join some clubs like the coding club and things like that. I will also try to get an internship at apple if they offer that. After high school, I want to go to a good University of California school. I want to major in computer programming so I can learn necessary things for coding. I will train to be just like my Personal Career Hero. Finally, after college I will pursue my dream of designing and programming. Hopefully I can have the success that my personal career hero did, Evan Spiegel.
