My hero will be the first athlete to develop into a billionaire by 2010. His name is Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods. He has numerous qualities that make him a superstar. One of which is his never give up type of attitude. He is one of the most successful athletes out there.

Tiger was born on December 30, 1975 in Cypress, California. His dad was Earl Woods (1932-2006), and his mom is Kultida Woods. He currently lives in Orlando, Florida. He does not have any brothers or sisters. Tiger Woods is 25 percent Chinese, 25 percent Thai, 25 percent African American, one-eighth Native American, and one-eighth Dutch. Tiger grew up in Orange County, California and he graduated from Western High School in 1994. Western High School is located in Anaheim. Eldrick is Buddhist which he acquired from his mom.

According to Golf Digest Tiger Woods has made nearly 770 million dollars from 1996 to 2007. Tiger has not reserved all of that money to himself though. There is the Tiger Woods Foundation that helps the rural areas. This foundation offers scholarships to college and helps young poor kids. Eldrick has the goodness in his heart to help some not so fortunate kids in the U.S.

Now first off, Eldrick Woods has personally inspired me based on many reasons. One of which is the fact that Tiger never quits. He gives a 100% effort whether he is down by several strokes, or whether he is up by a couple of strokes. An example of this was when Tiger Woods beat Rocco Mediate in the 2008 U.S. Open while he had a torn ACL (ligament in his knee). He tore his ACL before the U.S. Open, but Tiger's hard-core determination won him another Major Championship at the cost of extreme pain. The fact that he is one of the most popular athletes in the world has had an affect on me. He has 14 Major wins in the U.S. Open, British Open, Masters, and the PGA Championships combined, making him the second on the all-time Major wins list. Knowing that Tiger has his own foundation to help kids in rural areas makes me think that he is a hard-working and very generous person. That is why Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods inspires me.

Finally, Eldrick has many great qualities in him and I want to recognize those qualities by making this webpage. Tiger has had an impact on many lives of people in the world, including me. No question about it, Tiger Woods will go down as one of the best athletes to ever walk this Earth. Whether this is from the accomplishments he has achieved in golf, the caring and generosity to others, or a combination of both, he is a superior man.
