A hero to me is someone that you like or have seen somewhere or who you live with. For example, it can be a movie star in a movie. Or maybe your hero is a superhero in a game or imagination or a comic. Well my hero is a man named Esteban Segovia. He is a good guitar player. The reason I chose him is because he plays the guitar and so do I. He inspired me to pick up the guitar and play it. And he is also inspiring me that he went to high school and passed with honors and then went to a university.

He was born Stephen Paul in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and he was born 1974. What I like about him most is that he can play all kinds of music on the guitar. His accomplishments are that he picked up the guitar and played it with no lessons. And he graduated with honors. And also went to a university in New Mexico.

About one year later, Esteban was in a car accident and was hit by a drunk driver. He lost his ability to play the guitar for 10 years because of severe damage to his left arm and hand. By 1990, through dedication and love of music, he began to again play the guitar he so loved. And now Esteban made his own guitar for everyone to have. It is part electric and part acoustic.

He is so proud the way it came out that he made a video to help kids learn. And now he is in a band. And now the girl he met is in a band with him. She also plays an instrument - the violin. She is just like Esteban. She has been playing the violin since she was 7. And if he was to have kids they would be just like him in playing instruments and be very good.

In Esteban Segovia’s life, after he dies, I think that the legend will live on. And his kids maybe one day will become like their father and play very good. And his wife will go down as a legend as well. Well I will tell you the two other reasons I chose him is because my great grandma used to go to elementary with him. And I saw him in concert and it was awesome.
