Miranda's vision to help his country and see South America free was huge. "He developed a visionary plan to liberate and unify South America," said the website Encyclopedia Britannica. He had this plan because when he joined the military, he fought against the British in Florida, this made him realize that Venezuela and South American countries needed to be independent from the Spaniards, and as time passed, he decided to go to London and petition the King of Spain exile due to his escape from a Spanish prison in 1783.
Miranda was also an adventurous man that traveled through Europe, Asia, and the United States trying to find support to liberate the South American countries," Revolutionary ideas began to hold in his mind," said Christopher Minster, "He traveled around Europe, stopping in Prussia, Germany, and Austria and many other places before entering Russia." Back in London in 1789, he began to try to get British support in order to start an independence movement from the Spaniards in South America.

Francisco was a leader too when it came to help people, he also helped France overcome an invasion by leading the military, this was the " The French Revolution" in 1792," He was in Paris when the Prussians and Austrians invaded in 1792, and suddenly found himself offered the rank of Marshal as well as a noble title to lead French forces against the invaders," said Christopher Minster, "He soon proved himself to be a brilliant general, defeating Austrian forces at the siege of Amberes", this heroic action helped him to avoid the guillotine twice and managed to escape from many prisons. Francisco De Miranda died in July 14, 1816 after being hold as a prisoner by the Spanish government in 1812.
Francisco De Miranda is a national and international hero that helped his homeland, Venezuela, and the South American countries win independence. He dedicated his whole life to free a continent without wanting something in return. By knowing that he didn't actually free the southern continent, his ideas and movements in Europe and the United States helped pave the way for a revolution. He is important to all the people in Venezuela and South America because of his heroic actions.
