Have you ever needed something, or someone, to pick you up after you've had a rather bad day at school? That's who Frankie Muniz is to me. He is not the most famous actor out there, and maybe not everybody knows about him, but I do. I first saw Frankie Muniz as Malcolm from the hit television show, Malcolm in the Middle. I became aware of him in the later months of 2014, and I just really loved his acting. He was the best young actor I ever watched. I chose him as my personal career hero because of his passion for acting. In an interview he stated that one year during the show Malcolm in the Middle, he had three days off and those were the most boring days of the year. Just from that I want to have that kind of passion for the career I want to pursue; I want to love acting as much as he did. I am presently a high school freshman, and I would say that I'm just an average student. I am one who doesn't have burning passion for any of my classes really. I want to be an actor one day, but an actor who gives everything they have into acting.

In the field of acting, it takes practice, dedication, and love for the character in which you are playing. Actors portray different characters in film, theatre, television, and performing arts. On the U.S Bureau of Labor statistics website I have found that actors get paid on average $19.82 per hour on the job depending on certain roles that you play. However, actors that are in the top ten percent can earn millions of dollars each year. The salary range is not standard for actors because you don't know when you are going to get your next part. Statistics from the Occupational Outlook Handbook state that one in three actors do not work full time. Regarding the future outlook in the field of acting depends on how good you are. The better actor that you are, the better your chances are at becoming successful in the career of acting. If you are looking for a career where you have a steady income and a secure future, then maybe you are looking in the wrong direction. In acting there is no guarantee as to which parts you will get, and how much you will get paid, so there is not much of a future outlook. On the other hand, people's thirst for entertainment is as strong as ever, so there's always hope! Even if you decide that acting maybe isn't for you, there are a tons of jobs to be filled that aren't seen on the camera, but are related to acting. Such as being a cameraman, storyboard director, costume designer, lighting engineer, and many more!

Frankie Muniz was a boy with a lot of passion for acting. In an interview he was in as a younger child, they asked about how he felt with the role that he got. His response was that he was so thrilled to be playing Malcolm on Malcolm in the Middle. He said how he would have been so happy to have just played an extra or a small character on the show. When he was young, his parents divorced and he moved out to California with his mother to play the role of Malcolm. The passion he had for playing his role and acting in general as a child, set a clear path for him to be the same kind of passionate actor as an adult. Because Frankie Muniz played Malcom, there was not time for a regular school schedule so his mother home schooled him, and he did not attend college. Having played a main role in his hit sitcom television show, he made millions of dollars from doing so. He was making approximately $30,000 per episode, and in the later seasons he was earning around $50,000. For him, that was his big break, and did very successful and from 2000-2006, he was known as one of the best child actors. After the show ended he did a few more movies such as Cody Banks, Big Fat Liar, and My Dog Skip. After all the roles he had played, he was left with around 40 million dollars. He is not doing anything these days, he is rather retired for the time being.

I believe that Frankie Muniz is a great person to look up to from an acting standpoint for young actors because of the roles he played when he was younger. He doesn't really contribute to society with monetary gifts, but rather through his acting skills. When I watched Malcolm in the Middle, I looked past everything else and just focused on Frankie Muniz and how he played his part. If you are looking to view the show Malcolm in the Middle, you will be able to currently find it on Netflix, iTunes, and purchase it on Amazon. The show was aired first on January 9th, 2000 and ended on May 14th, 2006 with a total of 151 episodes. The reason Malcolm in the Middle is brought up so much is because that is where he was discovered and became very well known for his acting skills as a young kid. So because he was such a great actor, he as inspired me, along with many others to pursue acting as their lifelong careers, and personally, no one else makes me as excited about acting as Frankie Muniz.

I believe it is never too late to pursue what you really want in life, whether you're 15 years old, or 50. I have little experience in the field of acting so far but I believe that one day I could be as good as Frankie Muniz was. To reach that level of acting, high school is the best place to start. Some of the classes I will take are classes such as drama, advanced placement history, and advanced English classes. Drama is the most important one for me to take because it is the place where you can really show who you are, and it is the place to impress people. History classes are so you can get a deeper understanding of the societal context of dramatic works. The English classes are so I can learn to read well and to understand plays. After high school it is up to the individual person to whether they want to go pursue their acting careers or to go to college and keep studying the art of acting. Personally I do intend to go to college and get a major in the field of acting. It is not required for anyone to have gone to college to be an actor, but the way I'm thinking is that going to college can only better my chances at being a successful actor. A lifetime goal, that to me now seems really far off, is to get an Oscar for playing a main role in a serious movie. While there is no guaranty for the parts and pay that actors will get at various stages of their careers, for those who love to perform on stage or in front of the camera this is the perfect career.
