When Fred Myers was asked about hunting, he replied, "Hunting is a lust to kill." He said this when he was asked about hunting.  Fred Myers was the co founder of the HSUS or "The Humane Society of the United States", along with three others. Fred Myers is a hero to all  because of the animals that he saved also because of  the company that he started,  Which is still running and saving more animals.  

As a kid, Fred Myers worked hard in a newspaper company that his dad started. This gave him great character and a work ethic that eventually helped him in the future. He was also influenced to make a humane society when he went to work for a Russian Humanitarian Organization.  He then started his own humane society, but it wasn't easy, which makes him a heroic figure..

Fred Myers is a hero to many because he is compassionate and he has conviction.  Due to the overhunting that occurred  in the United States around 1950's, Fred Myers had to step up and make his company the HSUS. According to the passage, Fred Myers was one of the people who helped make a lot of laws for hunting, "Fred Myers has made multiple laws for hunting including a law that says how many doves you can hunt" (Bernard Unti 2005).   This evidence shows he has conviction because he cares for all the animals so much that he takes the time to make laws for even doves.  In addition Fred Myers also has compassion because according to the text, "Fred has not only made laws for us but he has also been to court to fight for people whose animals have been mistreated" (Bernard Unti 2005). This evidence shows he has compassion because he created went to court and that took a lot of time and he might have gone there to only help one animal. He helped so many animals and had compassion as well as conviction. It had a huge impact on the animals in this country.

The impact of Fred Myers Humane Society is huge.  He has helped save so many animals' lives, and he has passed laws so that people treat animals better.  Fred Myers also has laws on hunting that limit the amount of animals that you can kill.  He has also made a company that is still going strong and that  is still saving animals, so he has had a lasting impact on a lot of people.

Fred Myers is a hero to many because he made the Humane Society and he has saved so many animals lives. Fred Myers  has made a company that has saved so many animals and his company is still going strong today. Fred Myers is very important to our country and that makes him a hero.
