My Hero, Francine Patterson!!!

Do you have a favorite hero? Who is it? Is it a boy? Or a girl? Is it a scientist? My hero is Francine Patterson. Well, you may know Francine Patterson from the story “Koko's Kitten”. That’s right, she is my hero, she is also a scientist. Francine Patterson taught two gorillas, named Michael and Kook, sign language. Francine Patterson is my hero because she proved that animals are smarter and less harmful than they seem and look. She is also my hero because she is a scientist and has a great life history. So read on to find out about the great hero, my hero, Francine Patterson.

Now let me tell you a little about my hero Francine Patterson. Francine Patterson was born on February 13th, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. Many years later, she earned her bachelors degree in psychology From the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Soon after that, her Mother passed away. But she kept on going. She knew she wanted to do something with gorillas as her job. She got an idea. She wanted to teach a gorilla sign language. That is exactly what she did. First, she taught and took care of a baby boy gorilla named Michael. But their fun didn’t last because he died. So she decided to try it one more time. She took on a baby gorilla named Koko. But when they got to know each other, they had a connection.

As I told you before, Francine is my Hero! There are many reasons why Francine Patterson is my hero! One reason why she is my my hero is because she taught two gorillas named Koko and Michael sign language. I just love gorillas!! I love gorillas because one time in Florida I went to the zoo and there was a gorilla that was following me and making kiss faces. Another reason is that she proved to people that animals are smarter than they look. She also proved to people that animals are less harmful than they look. She proved that by getting her gorilla Koko a kitten. Koko raised little All Ball as her own young. So that is why Francine Patterson is my hero!

Now I have told you a lot about my hero but I am sure That you have one more question running through your mind. What does Francine do for a living? Well, for one thing, she is a scientist that specializes in animal behavior. She is also a major researcher for animal behavior.. Plus, Francine Patterson taught two gorillas named Koko and Michael sign language. Michael passed away but he was the first gorilla she worked with. Koko was the second gorilla she worked with but to her, Koko was very special. So, if you were wondering, that is what my hero, Francine Patterson does for a living.

As you can see, Francine Patterson is my hero because of many things. Now you know a lot about my hero, why she is my hero, and Francine does for a living. To sum it up, Francine Patterson is my hero in many aspects. Thank you Francine Patterson for caring about animals, having all the responsibilities, standing up for what you believe in, and being my hero. Also thanks to myhero.com for helping me find my hero, Francine Patterson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
