There are many ways to define a hero, that’s why there’s never one definition. For me, my hero came out in my childhood. He led me to the sport I play today, to a path that wasn't clear to me. At the time there were so many sports to choose from. Until I saw one of his games on T.V., I wasn't sure. For me, my hero is Guillermo Ochoa.

Guillermo Ochoa is in my favorite soccer team, therefore that’s why I play soccer. It became clear to me when I saw him working hard in the biggest game in the season, how motivated he was to win and not let his team down, how he got the crowd to see how athletic he is. Sometimes he brings tears to people's eyes when they see how determined he is. "That poor kid is still going for it," said a fan with a tear running down his cheek. Francisco never gives up. This is the type of soccer player he is.

My hero has a good history. His full name is Francisco Guillermo Ochoa Magana. Born on July 13, 1985 in Jalisco Guadalajara, he’s more popularly called ’Memo’. He’s a Mexican soccer goalkeeper who plays for my favorite team Club America. He’s also six feet, one and a half inches tall.

You might think that ‘Memo’ is a predictable star and jock, but he’s not. He has a totally different life than most stars. He actually donates money to charities. That’s how he could change so many lives. You might also think he’s a player who plays dirty. He is actually a clean and fair player. Also he has good sportsmanship. He’s a person who can change the community where he lives.

Finally, after all you read, you have a better idea of who he is. If you have only heard one side, you haven’t heard the whole story. My hero is Guillermo Ochoa, an America soccer player. He led me to my path to soccer. That’s how he made it clear for me. He’s a special hero to me. This is my way to express my appreciation for my hero. I pick him because he changed my life. He told me inside to play soccer.
