Fernando Torres (http://www.fernando-torres.net/) |
I first thought of Fernando Torres as my career hero. There are many talented players in the world, from my high school team to the professionals who play in the EPL (English Premier League). Soccer is a fascinating sport that I have enjoyed for many years of my life. I play club and high school and I am rather good at it or I would have quit a long time ago. Torres is an inspiration that teaches me to keep working hard and he is an example of the output of work you put in.
Fernando Torres is a professional player on Liverpool Football Club in England. He plays competitively in the EPL. His training includes practicing soccer very day since he could walk, taking many lessons with great coaches who trained him physically and mentally as well. In reward for his hard efforts, he receives a £800,000-a-year pay raise. In total, he is being paid £21.5 million for a four year contract.

As a young boy at the age of two, he was wandering around the house when he stumbled upon his older brother’s soccer ball. He began to play with that ball every day, and soon it became a hobby for him. He practiced every day and played on his first team at age five. He received his education somewhere in Madrid, Spain, but no one knows for sure. He dropped out of high school at age seventeen to go play professionally for Atletico Football Club. Since age five, he has trained and worked hard every day to pursue his career as one of the greatest players today.
Fernando Torres has provided people like me with hope and inspiration that one day I may too be playing professionally. His worth ethics make me strive to pursue my dreams. Also, he provides entertainment with his fancy footwork he does with a soccer ball during the intense games during his season in England. His first jersey he received from Liverpool, he donated to a breast cancer charity reading, "To the Lily Centre – my first Liverpool shirt, Fernando Torres."

Torres training hard (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/00711/sport-graphics-2007_711314a.jpg) |
In high school, I will train hard every day and always give it my all, whether it is a high school practice, club practice, or just a friendly game with my friends. In college, I will train hard with my team (granted that I go to college and make the team). Overall, I will train as much as I can in my free time such as weight lifting, endurance, agility, etc. so that one day I too may be playing as a professional who donates to those who are less fortunate.
