My personal hero in life is Jennifer Finch. She is a star softball player, and a helper to the young girls that hope to become as great as she is. I watch her all the time on television, and take notes in my head on how to make myself better. I think that it is my dream to be just like her!

Jennie Finch was born on September 3, 1980 in La Mirada, California. Her parents are Doug and Beverly Finch. She has two older siblings, Shane and Landon. Her friends like to call her Finchey and Jen. She said that her favorite sport is softball! Her homeotwn is La Mirada, Claifornia. She got married to an Arizona Diamondbacks player, Casey Daigle on October 30, 2004. They have a little boy named Ace. She says that she loves to be around her son. She would even take him into the dug out when she would be playing in a softball game. Jennie and her family have three pet dogs, Misty and Hershey (toy poodles)and Prada (Yorkshire terrier).

Jennie Finch has accomplished many things in my perspective. When she was at college, she hit 50 homeruns and had a .301 batting average. She has struck out some of the greatest baseball players including Robert Pujols, Mike Piazza, and Larry Walker. Jennie has taken place in the Softball World Cup, U.S. Olympics, and played softball for Arizona University. She was so good at her college years of softball, that they retired her number 27. She has set the NCAA record of 60 consecutive pitching wins. Aside from all her accomplishments in her softball career, she has helped other young girls obtain the best softball help. She teaches girls how to pitch and hit at softball camps. She says that she would like to help anyone in need of a helping hand!

Jennie is also known for her incredible height. She was last known to be at the height of 6 feet 1 inch! Most people think that it is impossible for a girl to reach that height. Jen was a member of the 2004 Olympic Gold Medal Softball Team. She was a Top 3 finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. In 1998 she was a Gold medalist with USA Softball at the Junior Superball. She helped the Arizona Wildcats to the NCAA Women's College World Series. Jennie Finch has accomplished many things and intends to obtain more skills while she is still able.

My hero may not seem as great to you as she does to me, but people view other people in many different ways. Some people have more famous heroes, but it doesn't matter how big they are in the celebrity world. All that matters is that you think of them in the best way possible, and that you cherish what they have done. My hero is my hero. She can be yours too, if you would like. But I like Jennie Finch because she is a good person. And to be a good person is all that matters to me!
