Grayson with Allen Iverson ( ()) |
135 lbs. and 5'6 the king of street ball, The professor (Grayson Boucher) breaks ankles left and right and has people turning their heads in every which direction. A master of basketball, and specifically his ball handling skills inspired me, a young high school basketball player researching promising basketball careers, to believe that you don't have to be the biggest or strongest on the court. I first discovered him when my friend showed me a YouTube video in the 7th grade of him doing amazing things with a basketball and absolutely embarrassing people. That made me say, "I want to do that!" It was absolutely amazing. I always enjoyed basketball before, but this showed me that doing what I love and inspiring others all at the same time is a reality. I just love basketball so much and I would love to any sort of job pursing it whether it be coaching, playing, training, reefing, reporting, or announcing.

Grayson Boucher, a.k.a The Professor has a very unique and amazing career playing exhibition/street basketball. According to celebrity net worth.com, this career has racked him up a net worth of $500 thousand dollars. Stated in his biography on his Professor Live website, he does a range of jobs from hosting basketball clinics across the world to acting in TV shows and movies such as Ball Don't Lie. He also has a running YouTube series called Spiderman basketball that he acts in. He has gained over 200+ million views on it and recently released another video that amassed huge attention, bringing in more fans and people aspiring to be like him. Someone like him has so much knowledge on the sport, and he shall continue to teach generation after generation what he did to achieve the success he has had.
As a young basketball player, Grayson Boucher was never the biggest or strongest player on court. But that never stopped him from achieving success. In his bio on the Professor Live website he stated that he found great success in High school and worked 4-8 hours a day. Due to his Small size (5'6) and graduating at a small school (Salem Academy Christian) He didn't receive any college offers like how he hoped he would. More determined than ever he joined Chemeketa Community College as the last walk on and made massive improvements to his game. In the 2003 after his freshman year in college, he tried out for the And 1 Mixtape tour that played around the world in packed arenas. After he made the team he was soon dubbed "The Professor" for his ability to school people on the court. He played in countries such as Japan and Australia where he gained worldwide fame. Nowadays he uses his experiences he had as a young adult and applies that knowledge to the career he has had and to the YouTube channel he runs.

Grayson Boucher contributes to society by holding and attending training camps whenever he can across the world for younger children and inspiring them to what he has done. Being the underdog like David and believing in himself, he can beat bigger, stronger Goliaths. He truly is an amazing person and has inspired many players across the world to be able to achieve the results he has achieve through hard work and dedication and really represents that size doesn't matter.
To be just like my personal career hero would require heavy amount of dedication and hard work through out my time in high school basketball. I would love to continue my love for the sport in college working as hard as can to obtain a wide and deep knowledge of the it. Overall I would love to pursue any job related to basketball ranging from coaching, to actually playing. Grayson Boucher "The Professor" has inspired me to do great things with a basketball.
