George Dvali

Heroism is not only about showing military skills in war. Each of us has our own idea of a hero, and for me, the hero of our time is George Dvali.

Georgian professor George Dvali is an internationally renowned physicist in the interdisciplinary field of astroparticle physics. Currently, Prof. Dvali is head of the group which works on the Large Hadron Collider.

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the world’s largest energy particle accelerator. The LHC has been dubbed the most advanced and complex machine ever built in the history of humankind.

It is expected to answer some of the most fundamental questions of physics---What is the nature of the Dark Matter which accounts for 23% of the energy density of the universe? What were the conditions prevailing in the early universe, just after the Big Bang?

I strongly believe that Professor Dvali will discover new facets of physics. His work will advance humanity's understanding of the deepest laws of Nature. In the future, George Dvali will be recognized by many as a great hero of the modern world.
