Geddy Lee

Inspiration is a huge thing in my life. Great people that I have met or things that I have seen really inspire me to do things. Mainly, a lot of people inspire me. For example, my mom and my youth pastor are probably the most people who inspire me to do new things, and my friends. They are really important to me. But Geddy Lee on the other hand, is someone who truly inspires me to play music.

Geddy Lee is the lead vocalist, keyboardist and bassist for the band, Rush. He was born as Gary Weinrib on July 29, 1953, in Toronto. But he got the name Geddy because his mom mis-pronounced Gary. He started playing bass as a teenager and got into a band later with guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer Neil Peart. Since then, the trio has made many albums that have greatly impressed people and made many, many fans.

Geddy Lee is one of the greatest bassist ever. He is one of the many greatly talented musicians that I look up to when I play bass. He motivates me to try and learn his music. At the same time, I get inspired to try and make my bass riffs and or songs for fun. He truly makes me want to play bass even more and try to become a better bassist. His inspiration made me get into a band with a couple of friends and started writing metal songs. We have some songs down, but are making more. Geddy Lee is someone who inspires me to play music.
