General Patton, one of the most well-known and toughest generals during World War II, was famous for intimidating his enemies and even gaining respect from them. Patton died with four stars on his shoulder, making him a four star United States Tank General. One might say he deserved a fifth star. Most people think that Patton began his military career in WWII, but actually he began his career by leading cavalry troops and fighting against Mexican forces. Patton was the first officer assigned to the new US Military Tank Corps. He was a leader at all times and was brave. Patton was a man who never chickened out and was never scared to fight. Finally, he was a man who never gave up on his men or on his country. Patton desired going to battle and fighting, but he never fought for what was wrong. Patton even got a nickname from his men, because he loved battle so much. They called him Old Blood and Guts, and interestingly enough he was proud of his battle name. Patton always fought for what was appropriate and what was right. My hero is General Patton.
Above all, Patton was a leader for his country, fighting for his country in the US Military Tank Corps. However, he knew it was a big risk and a dangerous job, which meant he was putting his life in danger at multiple times. As a result, many tank troops would die or be blown up in war by other enemies tanks during war. Patton knew this. Patton's enemies were scared of him and knew that he was a great tank general. His enemies gave him more confidence by being scared of him. Patton knew that his enemies were scared of him. Patton was a big threat to the Nazis because of how he fought and how he led armies in war to victory. He saw and lost many good men, seeing them die in the worst ways possible but still kept leading armies to victory. Patton saw the most horrific things that nobody can imagine, but still he led his great men to battle. Patton and his men took down lots of the Nazis war equipment and big numbers of their armies. Because of this many men that were in the U.S. Tank Military wanted to fight against the Nazis with Patton. Many men did fight by Patton's side against the Nazis.
In any event, General Patton was always brave in war. If there was an incoming tank during battle or an incoming army, Patton would never run away from it. Patton would get his men ready and get his fire power loaded, and would attack. Patton was never scared to attack bigger or stronger enemy tanks and he would go at them like 1, 2, 3 with his fire power. Nazis tanks were much more stronger and much more armored than the U.S. tanks but Patton would keep on fighting them. Patton fought some of the strongest and meanest tanks still taking them out and defeating them. Patton had a great advantage in war because he had confidence. Unlike his enemies he never had too much of it. Patton knew that he was putting his life in danger but still he would fight only for what was right. If one army was stronger than his Patton would never betray his country he help protect it.
Furthermore, General Patton never gave up during war on his country or on his troops. When Patton would train his men he was very tough on them and he turned them into real men, even if a group of the men he was training were not respectful to Patton. Patton would discipline those men who were round and disrespectful. One of Patton's famous quotes, "There is only one sort of discipline, perfect discipline." Patton's men liked him and many were very close with Patton, which was sad because many of them died in war in front of his own eyes. He always came up with a solution and persevered. Patton went through many hard and rough times but kept on fighting, no matter what happened or what was going to happen. General Patton led many armies, fighting with men that had gunfire, wounds, or infections. His men just kept giving the Nazis more and more obstacles, defeating them and taking down many Nazi armies and most of their war equipment. This included weapons and a great amount of motor equipment. Patton would stay calm in war and was not afraid to fight which gave him the ability and confidence to never give up. Even though German tanks were much stronger and were well-armored, Patton would keep on fighting them. Patton would train and teach his men to never give up and would turn them into great soldiers. During the Battle of the Bulge, one of the most bloodiest and scariest battles, Patton led many good men and they never gave up. They kept on fighting. That was one of the hardest and bloodiest wars in WWII.
In conclusion, the "Tank Crusher," otherwise known as Patton, had a good amount of confidence from these experiences. He also had great strengths when fighting his enemies. Patton was a great man and was always a leader at all times. General Patton died on December 21, 1945. Fighting the Nazis would have been much harder without Patton. He led many into some of the worst and bloodiest battles in history and was victorious. That explains General George S. Patton, my hero and a WWII survivor and fighter. One more of Patton's famous quotes states, "If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking."
