Did you know that General George S. Patton participated in polo in the 1912 Olympics? And won 5th. After the Olympics he joined the newly formed tank corps in the Mexican War. Later he went to military school and became an officer. My hero is General Patton because he is confident, a strong leader and, really smart.
General Patton was a strong leader in World War II. General Patton commanded the 1st and 2nd armored divisions against the Germans in Europe and the Japanese. At the end of World War II, General Patton won over 6 to 8 battles. He also captured over 100,000 prisoners in the battles of Saar and Palatinate, (both of which were in Germany). General Patton was a strong leader that also wanted to participate in the North African campaign and the Italian campaign. As he grew older he took an oath to never disregard classic military rules from a family tradition but broke some minor rules once a while.
General Patton learned military history at a very young age. General Patton was also into the war because of a long family tradition. General Patton learned history of war at West Bank and Virginia Military institute. General Patton has also learned from the Civil War cavalry leaders.

General Patton was also really confident in his men and himself. General Patton was also referred by his men as “old blood and guts” because he started at a low rank and worked his way up. He also was in World War I and was promoted because he gave his squad lot of confidence in him. When he was a general in World War II General Patton’s men were infectious to his confidence and he boosted the whole division’s morale up. General Patton was so confident in his troops that they wouldn’t back down from a fight.

General Patton is my hero because really looks up to winning, and a brave military General, and also was very smart. At the end of World War II he was hit by a car and was buried with his brave men that were fighting in the Battle of Bulge in Luxembourg.
