George Washington was always a dedicated man and loved his country. He really proved it too. He was born on February 22, 1732 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He died on December 14, 1799. He only lived to be 67, but he led a good life.

Accomplishments

To become a hero you have to do something great. George did more than enough. Washington had accomplished many things. He was elected Commander-in-Chief of the continental army in 1775. But becoming a US patriot was hard for Washington. One obstacle in his life was to decide to keep his ties with Britain intact or join the patriot cause. He also was the first to sign the Constitution, and he's most known for becoming the first President of the United States. But being President wasn't all easy. He had to control many rebellions. An example of one of these was farmers throwing riots because of tax on whiskey that Britain had enforced. This was known as the Whiskey Rebellion. These are just a few of his many victories and accomplishments.

Traits

Washington had a lot of valor for the US because he joined the US patriot cause. He also had so much courage. It takes a real brave man to serve in the militia for a country that was fighting Britain. He also had lots of perseverance because he was the kind of man who always got the job done no matter what got in his way. He fought until he one the war and always settled things as president.

George Washington always inspired me. He never gave up and did things a lot of men couldn't do. You don't have to have powers to be a hero all you need is a true heart.
