"Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary."Gerard way made this quote not realizing that he himself is a hero and he has made himself far more than extraordinary. My hero is Gerard Arthur Way, the lead singer of the rock band My Chemical Romance. This quote above was made by none other than himself Gerard way.He has made many other inspirational quotes that many though it was so important to them that they have many a tattoo of it on themselves.

Gerard is very persistent with what he wants (Criteria 1 must be embedded in this sentence): When Way was in New York he watched as people jumped out of a plane trying their best to survive. He saw as plans hit the Twin Towers.Gerard has witnessed the most horrific terrorist attack there has to offer,but unlike some people who would be traumatized for life. +Way used this experience to realize life is short and precious.Their band was named My chemical romance."Gerard has chronic depression and to deal with it he became a very heavy drinker in My Chemical Romance's first two albums.He was also suicidal at the time. But in the end, he sobered up and ended up on top."(The Hero Project):Even if he was going through depression and him being a heavy drinker,he still managed to create music.Gerard eventually became sober and ended on top of the music world along with the entire band." He was in New York, NY, when terrorists flew commercial jets into the city's World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and he saw people jumping out of the burning Trade Center towers. The experience inspired him to change his career direction, and he began writing songs and formed his band."(Gerard Way) Way has experienced horrible things in his life,but even though it has happened he has managed to straighten his life for his now wife and daughter.Gerard has made his life better for the people he loves,He has sacrificed so many things for the people he cares about.Gerard way has used so many unwanted times into many beautiful times.He now is married with a child,He had to experience rough times before his life would blossom into something that is priceless

He followed that up with another series, published in book form as The Umbrella Academy: Dallas in 2009."(Gerard way) Gerard way always had his sight set on drawing.Even from a very young age he was so into comic books.He knew but he also wanted to pursue his music career.Now he has the best of both worlds.

Many people go through rough times.Some people use this rough times to create great ones,other choose to continue the dark times.Now,Gerard way is one of those people who use rough times to create remarkable experiences,Way is a survivor. Gerard way is hero to me because in some ways he has gone through similar situations so I can look up to him and I know what to do. Gerard way inspires others including myself because he shows so many people how to be strong and react in positive ways rather than negative. "Life is very, very short, and you can choose to live it how you want.
