Gandhi

I’m going to tell you how Gandhi was a hero. I’m going to tell you what he did to become a hero. This is how he’s a hero.

First, when he was in South Africa he was treated badly because he was an Indian and the British the Indians the same as the native Africans because they owned their land and people! So Gandhi fought with great Briton so his people would be free. He got beaten, thrown in jail, and treated like dirt but soon he got the South African government to treat Indians better in South Africa. After that he went back to India.

Second, when he got to India, British did the same to him there. Gandhi would break laws that were unfair and he would burn all of their stuff they got from them. They would make their own clothes; they even started making their own jobs instead of working for the British. The British would shoot them, beat them and throw them in jail. Eventually, India was free from Great Britain.

Third, soon all of his people got in a war with the Hindus and the Muslims. Gandhi tried to stop them but they just hated each other so much that they burned down houses and shot at each other! Gandhi went to a friend’s house that was a Muslim and fasted to get them to stop. A lot of Hindus thought he was a traitor for doing that and some of them hated him but a lot of people soon stopped fighting and Gandhi finally came out and was an even bigger hero.

This is how Gandhi is a hero. This is how he set his people free. This is how he saved his people. This is how he is a hero for doing all that and saving so many peoples lives. And that is my story of how Gandhi is a hero.
