Ronaldinho is a famous soccer player today. He was very poor when he was a child. All he had were his parents and brother to support him. Ronaldinho lives in Barcelona, Spain and in Brazil. In Brazil he works as a traffic cop in his spare time. He was born on March 21, 1980, on the coast of Brazil in Porto Alegre. He had no education when he was a little kid because where he lived was a poor part of Brazil.

Ronaldinho has told young kids that, “If you put your mind to anything you can do it”. The types of difficulties he had to overcome are that he has to believe in what he was doing. Also how he couldn’t let people interfere in his dreams. To help him out and keep himself focused on his dream his dad always told him to stay with the ball and play with it and it may just get him somewhere someday. So, he stayed with the ball all the time and it got him to where he is today, an amazing soccer player.

Ronaldinho is a famous soccer player who was named FIFA player of the year twice. He plays for the Brazilian soccer team. Also, for the FC Barcelona club soccer team. He also helped his Brazilian team with the Confederation Cup by stopping a guy from scoring because if the opponent scored the goal they would have a tie and that would mean they would have lost finals. Ronaldinho also launched an institute in Porto Alegre, Brazil, to help disadvantaged kids through sports and education.

Ronaldinho influenced me because he plays soccer and he doesn’t give up, and he tries his best to earn his position. Also, he likes to help pre-teenagers and teenagers to let them know that you can’t just give up because you failed once; you have to keep trying and trying until you succeed. He also has helped other children and other people. He has also showed people that even if you’re poor you still can make a difference and you can still win if you just believe in yourself.

I really admire Ronaldinho because of all the things he has done in his life for other people and how he followed his dream to be a famous soccer player.
