One of my heroes is my mom. She was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended many schools growing up but in the end obtained a G.E.D. After receiving her G.E.D., she worked odd jobs until she went into business for herself, running a daycare out of her home. My mother has also taken classes, in hope of a Foster mother. My mom always states how she wants a better life for her children, which is something she never had growing up. My mom is my hero because she has helped me with lots of things in my life. She has inspired me to grow up and attend college, so that I can get a decent job and someday establish my own business and to get a car of my own. She has taught me to always do what is right and to stay out of trouble.
I also have a sister who is a hero to me. Her name is LaTesa Collier. My sister was also born and raised in Omaha. She is now twenty-one years old. She graduated from Central High School, and is now attending Creighton University as a junior. My sister has her own apartment and a car. She works at First National Bank of Omaha. She manages the staff as teller Supervisor, and also the youngest person in the branch. My sister is my hero, because she inspires me to never give up and always strive for the best. She always getting on me about doing my homework and making sure that I am on top of things. She always tells me that I can be anything that I want to be, and to never let anyone tell me different.
In addition to my mom and my sister being my heroes, there is my dad. My dad grew up in Arkansas as a little boy, and then moved to Omaha when he was a teenager. He attended school in Omaha where he graduated from Tech High. After graduating he joined the army. After serving in the army for a few years, he got out and worked a few jobs until he went into business for himself. He teaches me that he can do anything.
