Mrs. Gillian Goodman of the fourth grade at Greensboro Day School is my absolute favorite teacher and my hero. She has done everything in my mind to deserve all the teaching awards in the world and be my hero. She has shown trust towards her students and other adults and is the least strict of a teacher I have ever had. My hero teacher teaches with enthusiasm and fun. She undoubtedly is a special teacher, if you have had her as a teacher you know! Mrs. Goodman has many personalities, Duke fanatic, Jimmy Buffet fan, and mixing it all together you get a teacher who plays “Cheeseburger in Paradise” while reading calmly to her class and a person who talks about the latest basketball games. Even for girls she has something to offer. Undoubtedly, she is my favorite teacher and my hero.
When one gets into a tight spot, what do most teachers do? They talk with you out in the hall and reprimand you about what you did wrong; Mrs. Goodman listens to what you have to say. Everyone gets in a tight spot; this is my hero comes to the rescue. I have never had a teacher to do what she does in those tight spots. Mrs. Goodman is a problem solver and undoubtedly, my favorite teacher.
During your usual lessons, Mrs. Goodman makes them fun, by making a small discussion about Jimmy Buffet or Duke. They don’t last very long but they are fun while they last. When reading a book to the class she makes connections to many different things which are enjoyable to hear. She plans every lesson strongly, for us to enjoy it and for her to as well, that is what makes Mrs. Goodman a fun teacher. My hero trusts everyone, and is a problem solver, a listener, and undoubtedly, my favorite teacher.

Mrs. Goodman does have a little work for us to do in the morning, but when you can talk to her, every minute of it is enjoyable. She knows your interests and what you like to talk about which makes her fun to talk to. Mrs. Goodman knows exactly what to talk about with every person; she even shows it through her teaching. My hero’s connections seem like she is trying to have a conversation with each one of her students through her connections. She trusts everyone and is a problem solver, a listener, a fun teacher, a connecter, and undoubtedly, my favorite teacher.
I have many reasons, am I wrong? Mrs. Goodman has every reason to win any award. I have no idea how hard she has worked to become the best teacher, but Mrs. Goodman has worked harder than I can imagine, she is the greatest teacher. She trusts everyone, is a problem solver, a listener, a fun teacher, and a connecter. I have had many experiences and have had a very fun time with Mrs. Goodman. Unfortunately one cannot have the same teacher for two years in a row. Undoubtedly, Mrs. Goodman is my favorite teacher and my hero.
