Aoyama Gosho

Aoyama Gosho is a Japanese manga writer. He was born in Daiei, Tottori Perfecture, Japan, on June 21, 1963, with the real name, Yoshimasa Gosho. He is a famous manga writer, not only in Japan but also in USA and Indonesia, my country. He was a genius at drawing. When he was 6 years old, his painting of "Yukiai War" won a competition and was displayed at the Tottori Daimaru Departement Store. After finishing high school, he studied at Nihon University College of Art in Tokyo. During his university years, Aoyama joined a comic contest for freshmen and he won. It was a stepping-stone for his career as a manga artist and author. His first maiden work, "Chotto mattete," was published in the Shonen Sunday magazine in 1987. In 2004, he reached the legendary limit of 100 million sold manga copies. He's a great artist. He got an award for the highest income of the year. He married on May 5, 2005, with Minami Takayama. Minami is a singer and she is the Japanese voice for Conan, which is the greatest detective story that Aoyama makes.

I made him my hero because he has so much knowledge and intelligence. Why do I say that?! For example, in "Detective Conan," you need to use your logic and knowledge to analyze the cases. Usually, the cases are about murderer. It is really unpredictable whenever Conan discloses the murderer. And Aoyama can make up brilliant alibis, so many tricks and codes. Although it was a manga comic, Aoyama sometimes used a real situation and incident, like Jack the Ripper or a Koshien baseball game. I thought, he is a genius person. Aoyama includes some chemistry lessons, for example. He also includes some Japanese history, like World War II in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And other subjects are astronomy, physics, and even math. So there are so many lessons in this detective story. And because of that, we can't say that this comic is just for children. It is also for adults. These comics can teach you about many things, even though it tells about crimes and murderer.

I want to mention some of Aoyama's manga creations:
Chotto Mattete, his first manga series, was published in 1987.
Yaiba, tells the adventures of the young samurai, Yaiba Kurogane.
Detective Conan, tells the story about Shinichi Kudo, a senior high school detective, who always can analyze and solve the cases,but his body shrinks into a grade 1 child's body. Under the name Conan Edogawa, Shinichi hides his identity.
Known in the USA as "Case Closed" and also as Magic Kaito, a 3-volume manga series, this series tells the comical adventures of Kaitou Kid, a gentleman thief who often uses his skills in magic and disguise in every robbery he commits. Although the manga series ended in 1994, Kaitou Kid still appears in "Detective Conan", another manga series by Aoyama. In Detective Conan, Kaitou is almost caught by Conan (Shinichi), but he has never really been caught because both of them are really geniuses at playing tricks.
