Hesham Hussein - Smilling (My Computer) |
A Hero. What is a hero? Who could be considered a hero? Viewed from my eyes, a hero is someone in possession of attributes or actions that are worth looking up to. Making that person appear as a hero from a certain point of view. I've added "a certain point of view" as all humans are flawed. If we view anyone from all aspects we're bound to find a flaw. So as long as the major flaws don't over weigh that person's positive attributes, they shouldn't be stressed upon.
Of the many people I've met and known throughout my short life, Hesham Hussein, my father, has got to be of the greatest people I've known. Of the many things people achieve in life, he achieved more than all I know in a lifespan of 45 years. A Masters in Computer Engineer, a Father, a Husband, a Leader bringing different people and different religions together in cooperation, a president of a nationwide non-profit organization, a CEO of a charter school with 2 branches, a former project manager of an international company, and an initiator of his own company are a part of all the significant things that he has accomplished.
Of all these great accomplishments, I am not greatly amused. These accomplishments are greatly above average of the average man, but to my eyes they aren't too astounding as to have a person be considered a hero. They are what makes a person a "Great man" not a "Hero". What makes that man a Hero in my eyes is none of the things I've written, at the same time, it is all the things I've written. His heroism is viewed through my eyes about how he lived his life. How he accomplished and went about accomplishing things. That is what I deem Heroic within him.
That man, Hesham Hussein, had a mission. His mission, his belief and views were what he strode upon through life. Countless times I can recall him giving up worldly things that most other men would strive for, for the sake of his mission. Never have I seen that man controlled by power, greed, lust or any other worldly possession most others are obsessed with. It was his rock hard, steadfast, unshakable personality to his mission that made that man a Hero to my eyes.
That man, Hesham Hussein, Is my hero. I plan on striving to have a determination as rock hard as he had. Unshakable, no matter what the opposition was, his determination still proved Unshakable. That is my Hero, I wonder what your Hero shall possess from attributes and actions.
