This biography is about Helen Keller who had the uncanny ability to do the impossible. Helen Keller showed that through hard work and perseverance, that she could do extraordinary things.

Helen Keller was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on June 27, 1881. Two years after she was born, she became ill and it left her blind. Soon after the illness left her, she became deaf as well. As Helen she grew up, she threw tantrums over the smallest things. These tantrums could come suddenly and be very violent.

Then one day, everything changed when Helen’s parents hired a remarkable lady named Anne Sullivan to teach Helen how to read. She made a huge difference in this world because of her; blind people today can enjoy reading using a system of dots called Braille.

Helen Keller really inspired me with her commitment. That commitment was the commitment to learn. She could have just given up and said, "I can’t do it." But the amazing thing is that she did what others thought was impossible. She went to school… and excelled more than people who did not have any disabilities. To me that’s just amazing.

Helen Keller is amazing when it comes to doing the impossible. She proved that through determination and perseverance, that extraordinary accomplishments can be done. This is why I am so inspired by her.
