Congressman McKeon lives in Santa Clarita, California, and has an apartment in Washington, D.C. Congressman McKeon was born on September 9, 1938 in Los Angeles, California. Congressman McKeon got his nickname “Buck” from his dad, as a kid. His dad didn’t like the name Howard, so he always called Congressman McKeon his little Buckaroo, hence the nickname Buck. Congressman McKeon went to BYU (Brigham Young University) after serving a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon is a U.S. Congressman in the 25th district of California. He is currently alive and going on strong. He has no illnesses and loves his life. He is currently seventy-two years old, and has a wonderful wife named Patricia. They have six kids, thirty grandchildren, and love them all very much. They love being in the government, they work very hard, and they support each other in everything they do.

Congressman McKeon has been elected for congressman every time since 1992, his first election. He serves as a Representative in the 25th district in California. He started off being the first mayor of Santa Clarita, and then moved on to being in Congress. He has made a lot of good things happen in those eighteen years of service. Congressman McKeon has been named the top Republican and Ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee. He worked on the Education and Labor Committees, Subcommittees on Healthy Families and Communities, and Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor and Pensions, and many more. He has made such great advancements in every one of those committees and subcommittees. Howard has been considered a champion on easing national debts, by many people. He is also very good at relieving taxpayers, reforming education, and supporting our troops out fighting for our country. Buck has also been teaching members of Congress about using UAVs, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, in combat to save troops, and not have to put anything, but machines, in danger. He is the best there is.

Congressman McKeon affects and inspires me by how hard he works, and how he gets the job done. He is not a push-over; he is a very strong and reliable man that is a great Representative of California. He served as the Chairman of Education and Workforce Committee and has tried to make changes, for the better, in California’s schools. Congressman McKeon is a huge motivation he always works his hardest and goes the extra mile. He always goes the full nine yards, and will not take a break because it is hard, or he is tired. He is an unforgettable man, and will always leave you astounded. He is hard working, and will strongly defend something he believes. More people in the United States’ Government should be like him. Howard P. McKeon is what a hero truly is. He solves problems the fastest and best ways. He looks out for others, and he does what is best for everyone, even if it isn’t good for him. No matter how much it hurts, he will do what is right. That is what a hero is, that is what every human being should strive for. Every person that meets Congressman McKeon should feel privileged to have been able to talk with him. He truly is a hero.
