My hero is Hayao Miyazaki. I admire him, and I’m sure you will too after I tell you about him. You are going to hear about his personal life and successes. I will also tell you why I admire him, and what I predict what he will do in the future. Now, you will hear about Hayao Miyazaki’s life! It will be very interesting. Trust me.

Hayao Miyazaki’s life was very exciting, and you will hear about how he thought of the ideas for some of his imaginative movies. He is Japanese, and was born on January 5, 1941 and is still alive. He graduated Gakushuin University in 1963. He is the son of Katsuji Miyazaki, who is an aircraft parts manufacturer, married Akemi Ota, who he met while he was working, and has two children. His stories are based off of his past. Like, his dislike of militarism would be reflected in such films of his. His dad founded Miyazaki Airplanes, and they need to get to the company easier, so they moved. They also wanted to get away from a war. They lived by the forest, which inspired him to make My Neighbor Totoro, one of his best films. His mom had tuberculosis, so he made a situation like that in My Neighbor Totoro. This isn’t all of his life though.

Hayao Miyazaki has had many successes, you might not know some of his movies at first, but you might be familiar with his work. His movies are successful in Japan. In 1963, Miyazaki started working as an animator for Toei Animation and he was taught the basics of animating. He found the work enjoyable. He moved to different studios, became an amazing background artist, and he also made his own graphic novel! He then started to direct movies, and later on he became the CEO of Studio Ghibli. That was only SOME of his successes, he has many more!

My Neighbor Totoro

I love Hayao Miyazaki’s work, because it is imaginative, and creative in many ways. I love his movie, Howl’s Moving Castle; if you like fantasy and humor, then you will love this movie! You will also like it if you like wizards. My Neighbor Totoro is one of my favorites too. It is a cute story, and it’s fictional too. If you like stories about animals, then this is the movie for you! There are some more movies by him that I would love to see.

I hope there are more movies coming by Hayao Miyazaki, and they will be good for sure. I hope he will make movies with more fantasy, and imagination. His movies inspire me to be creative, and his artwork is truly amazing.
