Hayao Miyazaki is one of the most world renown animation directors and is known for his break through movies in animation and directing. His films where ahead of their time and each one has a meaning that each person can interpret their own way. Born in Tokyo in 1941. In 1968 he began working at Toei-Daiga which has now transformed in to the famous toei animation. Later he then became a pro at his craft and started doing major work with stories, screenplays, scene-settings,and key animation. He, along with Isao Takahata, then went to Zuiyo Images. Miyazaki went on to work on scene design and scene organization for Heidi in 1974 and to direct Future Boy Canon in 1978 and Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro.

In 1985, after working for Nippon animation and Telecon, Miyazaki became co-founder of studio ghibli. He direct his very first self project Nausicaa of the valley of the Wind. Since then he has directed luapita: the castle in the sky, Porco Rosso, and Princess Mononoke. He has also written the books The house where Tottoro lives, Shuna's Journey, and Mononoke Hime and From this point Forward.

To those of us who have seen these films and love them deeply know the reason why there are famous. Some of the films that he has directed have won academy awards in the United States and various awards in Japan. These films have transcended the various boundaries of language and race for people to come together and appreciate the sheer genius of these these outstanding movies. He is an animation director that is in a league of his own and his movies will be immortalized in the hearts of the ones that have seen these great works of art and appreciate there monumental impact.
