My hero is Physicist Henry Moseley. Henry Moseley studied the atomic structure and developed the use of X-ray spectra. When he did this, he found a more accurate way of placing elements by their atomic numbers instead of atomic weight in the Periodic Table.

Henry Gwyn Jeffreys Moseley was born on the southwestern coast of England in Weymouth, Dorset, England on November 23, 1887. Henry Moseley death happened on August 10, 1915 in Gallipoli, Turkey. Unfortunately, he died at the Battle of Suvla Bay in Gallipoli. If he hadn’t died, many people believe that he would have been awarded the Noble Prize for his great discovery of atomic numbers.

Henry Moseley is important to me because I understand the periodic table a lot better than I did before. It's easier to find the elements on the table by their atomic number instead of their atomic weight. He made a difference in my life because I actually enjoy doing stuff that involves the periodic table in my chemistry class.
