To me a hero is a person that helps the needy people. A hero is smart, helpful, strong, and much more. I admire Miguel Hidalgo because he fought for the Mexican independence. He was an instigator of Mexican independence and also a priest.

Hidalgo studied in the city of Valladolid, and was ordained as a priest in 1778. He fought for a free Mexico. Hidalgo was warned by Dona Josefa Ortiz that his committee would betray him, and so, without further delay, he openly declared Mexican independence on September 16, 1810.

Miguel Hidalgo is a hero, and is important to me, because I am from Mexico, and he made my country free. My country will always remember him as a hero because he spent part of his life fighting for Mexico.

He never thought of himself. He always thought of his country. These are good reasons why Miguel Hidalgo is a hero to me. Miguel Hidalgo was born on a ranch in San Vicente, Guanajuato on May 8, 1753, and he was executed in Chihuahua on July 30, 1811.
