“Treat people the way you want to be treated” is a quote that both my heroes use. My heroes are my parents, and they always treat me like they want to be treated. My parents are always saying to be honest and be nice to people. They are both big believers in Karma, and what goes around comes back around. My Mom and Dad both had difficult early lives and that is what makes them both strive to make my siblings and my life great.
My mom is from Lovell, Wyoming. My mom is a twin and had 7 other siblings which made her very patient and understanding, resulting in her being a great parent. Also, when she was little she was poor and with 7 other siblings that is hard, because they have to learn to share and be understanding. She went to Senior High and played on the Varsity basketball team as a sophomore and until she graduated. My Mom is a stay home mom, and always wants to know what’s going on in mine and my friend’s lives. That is some background information about my Mom.
My next hero is my Dad, Scott; he was born in Moses Lake, Washington. He went to West High, and had a very tough life because his dad died when he was 15. My dad was a wrestler, football player, and swimmer. He played football his whole life until he broke his collarbone his sophomore year. He also still has swimming records at West High, which is very amazing. My dad works at Montana Orthotics and Prosthetics (MOP), where he makes artificial limbs and braces. My Dad is a jokester and is always the one to have a fun time. Not only are my parents great people, but they are nice to all my friends also.
Both my heroes have inspired me in a huge way, and made me the person I am today. First, my Dad has gone through some health problems which made our family come together even closer. Through all the hard things he has gone through he is always positive and having a good time. My Dad has a difficult and stressful practice, but always manages to come to all my sporting events or school activities. Next, is my Mom; she is always driving around and taking my siblings to places. She is easy-going and easy to talk to. I can always go to her if I have questions, which is the way I want to be when I am a parent. She is always a very positive person and always lightens the mood. Those are some of the reasons why my heroes inspire me.
My heroes are both very inspiring as a stated in the later paragraphs, but those are just a few of the reasons. Both my parents have had difficult early lives which have pushed them to be better parents. Those are some of the reasons why my parents inspire me, and how and why my parents believe in “Treat people the way you want to be treated.”
