Homer J. Simpson

Homer Simpson is head of the family. As Safety Inspector at the nuclear power plant he does his job with an absolute minimum of effort. It's a miracle that Springfield hasn't been destroyed. Homer is incredibly lazy and slothful, his idea of the ideal day being to lie on the couch and drink beer while his wife Marge cleans up around him. Despite the way he sometimes treats his family, he loves them greatly. He values the happiness of his family over money, and despite the way he treats them he would do almost anything for them.

Homer is merely offensive and rude. Homer teases Bart and stangles him a lot. This is not the real Homer - merely a poorly written one. Also, he seems to be getting stupider. In the first few seasons you could say that he was just below average intelligence. In some episodes it seems like he has suffered brain damage. Luckily, in season nine he appears to be starting to recover from whatever caused this.

Homers spends most of his days at a bar called Moe's. Usally during church you will see Homer sleeping or doing something else. He isn't religous. Homer doesn't have any good luck he is alwys finding himself in trouble. He doesn't really pay much attention to his children.
