My hero is one of my favorite baseball players ever. He is a 6ft. 4in. monster. He is also the first baseman for the Phillies. He's Ryan Howard. He lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is supportive, dedicated, and athletic.

Ryan Howard is supportive because he supports charity. The charities he donates to are children's charities. He donates a car to Cars for Kids and he donated money to help fight breast cancer. Ryan Howard and the Phillies wore pink hats to help the fight against breast cancer. They also signed the homeplate of that game and it is being auctioned off on the internet and the money will go to help stop breast cancer.

Ryan Howard is dedicated to his job by training for hours and running before and after the games. He also trains during the winter to get ready for spring trianing. Spring trianing gets him ready for the regular season.

Ryan Howard is athletic because he can hit a home run. He was also the Home Run Derby Champion in 2006. He won by beating David Wright by 1 home run. Ryan can throw from first to second in 1.5 seconds. He can throw the same from first to third.

Ryan Howard's dedication and support to the charities of his chioce, makes him a great-hearted person. He is so supportive and dedicated to all of his charities and to his team, the Phillies. I am so lucky to have my hero living and playing in the same city that I do!
