Isaac Newton was born in 1643, the same year Galileo died. His father, a relatively well off farmer died before he was born and his mother left him in the care of his grandmother. After starting school at age 5 he showed little aptitude for his classes. His mother removed him from his schooling in the hope that he would manage their family estate, but he was even worse at managing the estate than he was at his schooling, thus his uncle sent him back to school. This time for unknown reasons he seemed to intellectually blossom and went on to attend Trinity College at Cambridge. He waited tables and did other menial chores to pay for his education before earning financial support for his education there.

As already explained he worked and earned his way through college. Isaac Newton made many mathematical discoveries in regard to the Laws of Gravitation, Optics, mechanism, chemistry, and was one of the independent inventors of Calculus. He also became the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge University and worked for the Royal Mint of England. He died in 1727 from pulmonary inflammation and gout. When faced with accusations of plagiarism, such as calculus with Leibniz, he denied them and simply buckled down and kept working. His hard work and discoveries have clearly helped set the stage for the progress of many fields to the point at which they are today.
Isaac Newton's hard work, dedication and work ethic should be an inspiration to us all. Even 1665 while the Bubonic Plague ravaged England, was one of his most industrious years. He started from relatively humble beginnings and gradually earned and merited his way to the status he still maintains, even after death, today. His works laid the ground of mathematics and physics for those that would follow him. Although many would argue others would have made his discoveries regardless of Newton, none can argue that his hard work did not accelerate the scientific developments that shape our world today.
