My local hero is someone who has always been there for me ever since I was very young. She is my neighbour, cousin, and my friend. I trust her with everything. Her name is Brook. My famous hero is someone who has inspired me to be myself and to follow my dreams. His name is Dr. Seuss. Both of these people have helped me throughout my life and will probably help me for even more of it. Brook will help me by being there for me and Dr. Seuss books will continue to inspire me and teach me respect. Both of these people are very important, too. If I had not met Brook or had not read Dr. Seuss books, I would not be as inspired as I am now.

Brook and I are in the same class, so we talk to each other a lot. She has helped me through lots of arguments with other friends and she has always stood up for me. She has been through a lot and we have helped each other through it all. We have fought a bit but we get over it fast and work things out. I think that is why we get along. Whenever I am sad I always have someone to talk to and get advice from. She has convinced me to try new things like volleyball and I end up loving it.

One time I trusted another friend with a very personal secret and they told other people. I felt like I could not trust anybody! Brook was there for me and said I could trust her. I did and she still has not told anybody things I did not want people to know. She has inspired me to have fun and not to worry about things I cannot change. She has taught me lots of social skills for peers and has introduced me to lots of nice people. She has given me lots of social tips and personal tips. Brook has also backed me up when I have had troubles helping other friends in an argument.

Dr. Seuss is one of my favourite book authors. His quotes have inspired me a lot too. My favourite one is "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go". It's from the book "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" That quote is what inspired me to follow my dreams and try new things. All of Dr. Seuss's quotes are inspirational.

Another Dr. Seuss quote

My favorite book is "Horton Hears A Who". It tells me to respect everyone, anything, and everything no matter what size or difference. It taught me to stand up for things even if I am the only one who believes in them. I think he is very intelligent because he knew we should take care of our environment before it ever really concerned anyone else. He knew that there was going to be environmental problems in the world. By reading "The Lorax" he taught me to respect the earth and that every tree counts.

The things that Brook does that are similar to Dr. Seuss is that she always sends me quotes and just like Dr. Seuss they get me through things. A few differences are that Brook helps me with more personal things and sends me quotes that have to do with those things. Dr. Seuss quotes are more inspiring for the future, life, and worldwide matters. The main difference in them is that Brook inspires me for certain things a best friend does and Dr. Seuss inspires me for things a famous author would do.

These are my local and famous inspirational people. Thank you for being there for me Brook and thank you Dr. Seuss and your books for inspiring me. I do not know how many new people I would meet and dreams I would have to follow if it were not for Brook and Dr. Seuss.
