Jack Bauer

I think that if I had to introduce my hero it would be quite difficult because I would have to describe a person who exists only in my mind.

I don’t consider people as heroes even if they’re stars. For me, a hero has superpowers like Superman or Spiderman but they aren’t in no case models for me because they’re too different. My hero is someone who has qualities coming from various people: a smile of such person, an attitude of another and so on.

But considering that it’s necessary to choose, I would say that there’s one person who could be my hero!

He’s a character of a series so he doesn’t really exist, but he has many things to become the hero of a lot of people. He is the main character of “24” , and his name is Jack Bauer. Season 6 is currently broadcast on Fox and we always learn a little more of Jack’s past. Now we’re able to describe him.

Jack Bauer was born in California and his father is Phillip Bauer. “ After completing his schooling, and after joining the U.S. Army and tuning his skills as a soldier, he was asked to join Delta Force, and worked as a LA’s Police Department SWAT team member. It is also believed that Jack did work for the CIA before being seconded to the Counter Terrorist Unit. "

Although Jack is a soldier, he could be very endearing when he isn’t using extreme physical force or psychological stress to retrieve the information he needs and we get attached very quickly to his character.

Even if Jack is a hero for his country, he never could keep people whom he loved near him: his wife was killed and after that a rift grew between Kim and him. People of Government plot behind his back to have him killed but in spite of that he continues to do his job: to protect the American citizens’ life.

To conclude I would say that Jack Bauer is my hero because his character is somebody very interesting.

His convictions, his uncommon history and his way of life make him a hero like those of the Greek Mythology with which peace and love seemed prohibited by the divine powers: the flawed heroes.
